Being yelled at by rude customer service rep

I actually like Geo. My husband and I have used this timeshare for many years now and we enjoy it. However, this time we called to book something and the customer service rep was not only rude, but yelled at us for having to repeat herself. We couldn't hear her very well. I suppose our connection was poor, or the phone wasn't working very well. Never have I actually been yelled at by any customer service rep for having to repeat herself. After my husband yelled back at her, she apologized, but this truly makes me sick to my stomach. That woman should be fired. I truly hope they do record their conversations.

Would you like additional points from Geo? I'm sure there's lots of folks who are willing to give away for FREE!

High Pressure Sales Tactics

Went to their "seminar" yesterday 1/4/2014, first Vietnamese female (she was really Hawaiian) was sick, sneezing and coughing the whole time. The second guy got pissed when I refused to tell him where I worked (he got real mad and said I must have been a government contractor when I refused to buy.) Then they sent us to a third female who was about 90 years olds and she claimed to be "quality control" and then morphed and tried to sell to us again. Then finally a fourth heavy set guy who had more jewelry on than Mr T tried the final hard sell, when I said no, he got pissed, gave us our $50 gift card and left without saying a word. Bad deal overall.

Sales representative Sharif was extremely unprofessional pushy and rude

All of yu posting an complaing about a timeshare scam with Geo Holiday. all you have to do is manipulate and trick and allow your *** sales representative to throw you the pitch and if you want to retaliate just allow him to keep wasting his own time! is it really your time that you are wasting? No, he's the one that doesn't get paid ,you don't lose any pay , he does , so when you feel like you're being pressured , to bad feel sorry for him not yourself at least you got something for free!! I went today and my sales representative was Sharif you should've seen the way he spoke to me at the opening , he told me that he's not here to do anything else but make sales, and he's here to make money, if I'm not interested let him know right away!! So immediately after I felt extremely disrespected by not even given a chance to tour the property I lost interest and began to find myself to manipulate him and began tricking him into thinking I was going to buy!! Haha he was pissed and I walked out the door laughing with my hundred dollar Walmart gift card on Black Friday!! Bwahaaaaaaa

Geo holiday scam

I bought a Geo Holiday vacation and have not been able to book a single trip in 4 years. I want this company to pay me back and face charges for the lies and scamming. Has anyone started a class action lawsuit? If so, I want in. This is the only scam I have ever fallen for and I feel so ***. I wish I could replay all the lies they told during the sales pitch. They told us that the Geo holiday credit card points would transfer one for one to geo holiday travel point. Each time we have called to book something we are told more of our points have expired. We can never find anything available even when we search many months in advance. This is a scam!

Don not buy a timeshare from Geo Holidays/ Jockey Club

Do not accept a "free" vacation if you have to attend a timeshare presentation from Geo holidays or anyone affiliated with the Jockey Club. If this was legitimate they wouldn't have tried every shady "sales" tactic to keep us there for 3 1/2 hours.

These guys are worse than used car salesman. When we finally walked out they were so pissed.

Steve, one of the managers, was a complete *** and talked down to us like we were idiots. He made the deal sound so great but you had to see through the smoke and mirrors to see it's too good to be true.

Make sure you ask lots of questions: how far in advance can I book, what is the interest rate, what happens if I don't use my credits, etc. Don't let them pressure you to buy, there is no good reason why you can't think about it for a few days or weeks.

If you do want to buy keep saying no, trust me they will sweeten the deal. They went from $15,000 to $8k to then 5k with a final offer of $2k.

Think before you buy. It sounds good, but they fail to tell you that you cannot use the timeshare benefits until your maintence fees have been paid in full.

They say you can split them in half, but they hound you hourly with a recording that you are behind and charge you a $50 late fee. No 3,4,5 star choice in Hawaii, they only offer one.

What a rip off. :( :cry :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Geo Holiday

A time share nightmare lasting for years. Owner Betty Eisenberg calling victims personally to rant about "dishonesty" when they try to escape her clutches.

Outright lies--the timeshares are IMPOSSIBLE to re-sell. Annual dues exceed the value of the accomodation. Every ad stereotype about the industry will be encountered if you succumb to the hard sell tactics.

We lost over $10,000 to this....ruined our travel plans for years.

Associated resort we tried by paying extra for RCI points was derelict. Garbage littered pool area, leaking roof.

Just run....even the Quebec "home resort " is boring. Use a travel agent and live happily ever after.

I too have had the call from Betty demanding her annual dues after I told them I quit. They were turning it over to a collection agency 6 months ago and were going to wreck my credit rating.

I have yet to hear form them. Who cares anyway, as I am 65 years old and no longer need credit.

If you don't have an estate to pass down to your children or income from work, you can elect to stop paying the fees. Presuming you have only retirement funds (such as Social Security and/or IRAs), collection agencies normally can NOT legally go after retirement funds to settle private debt (seek an attorney for legal advice). Your credit score will be negatively affected for sure, but does having good credit really matter this point in your life?
